Soft Chaos Podcast Ep. 002 — Katinka Fogh Vindelev
A conversation with the Danish singer and composer.
New on the Soft Chaos podcast we have Danish singer and composer Katinka Fogh Vindelev. Katinka and I first met in Copenhagen through our collaborative work with fellow Danes, Efterklang. She is a classically trained soprano and experimental composer who has performed numerous critically-acclaimed pieces of provocative and expansive art throughout Europe and the US.
We talk about her journey into music performance, the history and future of opera, her work with Daniel Hart on the soundtrack for the A24 films A Ghost Story and The Green Knight, as well as her boundary-pushing live performances — including a piece staged in a shopping mall in her hometown. Katinka is a deep thinker, a compelling vocalist and composer, and a dear friend.
